This morning ARI had the pleasure of co-hosting a breakfast on drone technology in the agricultural sector. With three wonderful speakers covering topics from Drone hardware, to sensors and right through to visual identification technology, attendees were provided with an entertaining and highly informative session. Attendance was mixed with both University of Adelaide researchers and staff, state government and industry representatives, which provided a great mix for conversation to flow easily. The Unmanned Research Aircraft Facility (URAF) based out at the Waite campus provided a number of multi-rotor and fixed wing air-crafts for viewing along with video footage taken from recent projects. A big thank you to the Agribusiness Advisory Board for bringing focus to this area of great opportunity.
